this has been a great day! birthdays are so fun! so, after a wonderful weekend of being with my family and having them fuss over me and make all my favorite meals and treats, i come back having to face monday. UGH. BUT... it was great for all these reasons: 1. I slept in (until 8:15)!!! no research class, no meetings, no anything... WOOHOO! amazing! 2. My diagnostic client called in and cancelled his appointment for tonight!!! SWEET!! 3. My professor I so lovingly work for did NOT assign me new work this week! YAYAYAY!!! 4. I have all my undergrad coursework accounted for, which means no re-taking of any classes like some of my classmates... I can forge on with my graduate plan of studies! YEHAW!!! 5. My good friend Jess gave me starbucks and a huge back of candy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!! 6. I actually squeezed in some work on my birthday, I was semi-productive (and wasn't stressed). YAY! 7. I had a lovely meeting with the OTHER (nicer) professor I work for. We may get dinner together and explore Toledo. She likes old buildings and old things... she wants to walk by the river. (she is from India). Now, does anyone know of someone who likes downtown Toledo and can tell me where some cool old buildings are? hehe 8. Tonight, my diagnostic team had to finish up testing a little 4 year old boy. He threw a fit and had a total melt down... at one point our supervisor went into the room and held the kid down until he cooperated. All of the sudden, as the kid was screaming and yelling (for no reason other than to be difficult) a HUGE snot ball flew out of his nose and stuck to his cheek. SICK. It was hanging on for DEAR LIFE. HAHA. The look on my supervisors face was PRICELESS as the clinician frantically requested a tissue... hahaha. Kids... 9. I have received calls, texts and messages from all my awesome friends wishing me a very happy day! 10. In about an hour I get to go out to dinner with my boy. HEHEHE. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!! PS- aren't these guys cute??? I love them!
